 For 20 years until July 1, 2007, I was a senior-level IT administrator with an academic (research and teaching) background.  During the period before, I was an English professor.  I reached the position of tenured full professor of English before moving into administration.

Four-year process of testing, selection, installation, and first adoptions

Created and directed URI Web Development Group

Developing student skills, creating a business model, developing work flow, working with campus clients toward developing their list of requirements. 

Created exhaustive set of URI classroom requirements; URI has adopted the requirements for all new rooms

Based on pilot implementations and assessment; how learners and teachers behave around IT

Co-lead, 33-classroom renovation, based on  requirements mentioned above

$5.75M 4-year project

Created 6 student IT-support groups; RFP for faculty; service-level agreements; career-path for students

Encompassed 140 student employees of instructional technology unit.
